Honey, honey...

Honey (Honning)
Originally uploaded by ├ůsta

Since this time of the year can get so busy, remember to take even 5 minutes for yourself and relax. Here's a simple recipe for an ayurvedic facial mask that will feed your skin and give you that happy holiday glow.

Pure local (organic) honey - 2 tbsp
turmeric - dried, 1/2 tsp
cream - fresh from the top of non-homogenized milk / or use plain thick yoghurt instead - 1 tbsp

Mix thoroughly until smooth and pat onto your face. The honey is full of antioxidants and turmeric is both an immune booster and an anti-bacterial, while the cream will give you a serene glow. Enjoy.

Searching for Sustainable Travel in Costa Rica

Thought I'd share this cool magazine I found while mucking around the still sleepy, beach town of Avellanas, in the Nicoya peninsula of north-western Costa Rica.

Edited by a yogi, Guru mag. seeks out places that you fear are already lost to development in Costa Rica. Real eco-hotels, national parks with abounding wildlife and reviews of eco-chic products that benefit the locals. Check it out here or look for it while you travel in CR.

Raw = Delicious

Did you ever put those two together? Well, at Gorilla Foods, Vancouver finally has a raw food, vegan restaurant that infuses creativity, flavour and lots and lots of love into delicious tasting, healthful foods. Since we discovered Gorilla Foods a month ago, it has been our newest post yoga hangout, a welcome addition to the heart of downtown. Let your taste buds guide you.

Living Mains:Do try their Thai Collard Green Wraps, which are filled with a sprouted sunflower seed and veggie pate, sesame seasoned coleslaw and served with a ginger raisin chutney and their sprouted buckwheat crust pizzas.
Liquid Love:
We lust after the Strawberry Zinger smoothie and of course the yummy house favourite, Choco-Gorilla Shake made with raw cacao beans, dates, hemp seeds and more love.
