Correspondence that's both Eco + Chic
I found these beautiful notecards today by Canadian company Pink Door Paper.
High on design with geometric patterns ranging from florals to bold graphics, they are also high on the eco-meter, printed on recycled card stock with vegetable based inks.
Perfect for all those handwritten notes you always mean to write.
$9.95 for a set of 6 notecards and matching envelopes at the Book Warehouse (various locations around Vancouver).

A yoga quick-fix...
To busy to make it to a yoga class...? Or too distracted to create a self-led home practice? Check out the free 5 minute yoga downloads by experienced, local Iyengar teacher Eve Johnson who runs Yoga on 7th, a serene haven off South Main.
Who knows... the five minutes may just turn into ten or twenty and then you'll have completed a whole yoga practice without ever "stressing" about it... Downloads available here.

Mindful Cooking...
I recently wrote a piece for an online newsletter vitaminv.ca and thought I would share it on this blog since it is definitely worth sharing with you.
"The expert chefs at Radha Yoga and Eatery, a minimalist, exposed-brick yoga studio and gourmet vegan cafĂ© near Chinatown, offer cookery classes where you'll be wowed by animal-free flavours and Donna-Hay-like presentations. We're hoping to get our Zen on with artisan bread-baking skills (so meditative) and wow dinner guests with a flourish of “recipe-free” cooking, as taught by Chef Andrea Potter (formerly of Feenies)."
Classes are $30 each. For schedule visit www.radhavancouver.org

Warm Glow
I am in love with the soy wax candles by Trillium. Handcrafted in the traditional way in Nelson, BC, these candles are made with pure, essential oils and have lead-free wicks. Soy wax is also both non-toxic and biodegradable. Taking eco-chic to the packaging as well, Trillium candles arrive in a recyclable container with a pretty cover and ribbon tie and burn smoke-free for 35 hours.
